Here is my response to Blackstaffx’s plea;

Most likely you are dealing with Odorous House Ants

You may have to hire a professional because I don’t think that there are any non-repellent products available to homeowners at the moment. Even if they are available at Wal-Mart, effective applications often require accurate identification of the target pest, specific knowledge of the target pest’s biological habits, thorough inspection to locate trails, entry points, and harborage areas, the application of Integrated Pest Management efforts, proper selection, mixing, and application of an insecticide, establishment of expectations for the human complainant, and adequate follow-up. Suddenly the “bug man” title just doesn’t seem to cut it, does it? A true “pest management professional” is worthy of his hire.

Non repellent insecticides are just that; “non-repellent”. The target pest won’t be repelled from the treated zone, or drawn to it for that matter (that’s a bait), but instead they will not even know that it is there and will continue with their normal activities. But, not for long. They pick up the active ingredient and share it like some hidden STD. Valtrex won’t suppress the resulting outbreak, however.

Non repellents work especially well for social insects like ants and termites. The don’t work well for arachnids or arthropods we in the business classify as “occasional invaders”. A centipede, for example, isn’t going to “nest” or “socialize” with other bugs, so the probability that it will pass a toxicant along to others that it has unknowingly picked up is low.

Read the label of the products you’re using. Make sure that odorous house ants are listed. If not, that could be the problem right there. Just because it may kill the piss out of one type of ant, it may be worthless for another. Get it? I said “piss” in a sentence about ants. “piss ants”

You could also try not leaving pop tart wrappers and spilled koolaid about. Clean up your domicile, Dirtystaffx!
